My profession

Uff to  be a forestry is quite a feat because you have to deal with many people and try to please them all, for example, if I have to take care of a forest, I can’t forbid people living near it to extract things from the forest, such as firewood, fruits, among others, since it would take away their means of subsistence.
However, as difficult as it may seem, it is very gratifying to be able to do something for society and for the environment, as this it is changing so much due to global warming and the misuse or exploitation that has been made of it.
I have been very concerned about the environment since I was very small and I have always criticized the people who are throwing their garbage on the ground, who break the plants because they do and who harmed the animals just for badness. I have questioned our way of seeing the world, which is very selfish and individualistic, and that is why we have reached such contamination and destruction of the planet.
However, since I could not remain alone with criticizing, I came to study something related to the environment.

My best vacations

In December 2013, after we went on vacation at school, we did the study tour that we had been waiting for so much in my course. With my classmates we went to Parque Tantauco, a private park that is part of the Fundación Futuro and whose owner is Sebastián Piñera, it is located in the south of the Isla Grande de Chiloé. It is located in the "Chaiguata Site", a place that was defined as a priority site for the conservation of biodiversity by CONAMA.
It is very beautiful, has a huge amount of vegetation, from ancient cypresses and evergreen forests to peat bogs dating from the last glaciation, there is also a very diverse fauna that is everywhere, if you walk very quietly along the path You can find the Chorote fox around and also a huge amount of birds like Chucao, a very famous bird in the sector.
In the 4 days that we were in the place we walked a lot and we learned about the importance of conserving unique places like this, we also kayaked in the lake that was close to where we were staying.

country I would like to visit

The country I would like to visit is France, it is located in Europe. Its capital is Paris, as the city of light. It has approximately 66.9 million inhabitants.

France is one of the countries that has a greater number of palaces, one of the most famous is the Palace of Versailles, perhaps because of the great opulence of which it is characterized. It has a baroque architecture, there lived the famous Marie Antoinette of Austria with Louis XVI of France. Inside this palace there is a hall of mirrors, which is full of mirrors and gold, which give a shine to the whole place, hence its name.On the other hand, there is the Louvre Museum, where paintings and famous works are exhibited, such as "La Gioconda", a work by Leonardo da Vinci, ancient Greek sculptures such as "Venus de Milo" or "Dying Slave", Miguel Ángel, among many others. Finally in the capital, Paris, is the "Eiffel Tower", a structure of 300 meters high. All these places motivate me to travel to France, I hope to be able to specify at some point.

YAK

It is a bovid animal, artiodactyl mammals whose main characteristic is that of having a strictly herbivorous feeding, of great size, provided with much wool that serves to subsist in very cold climates. Its longevity is 23 years.
He lives naturally in the mountains of Asia and the Himalayas. It is currently domesticated by humans, but wild animals are also found outdoors.
The wild Yak is of greater magnitude that the domesticated one, being able to measure up to two meters and reach an extraordinary weight of 1.00 kilos. Also has horns of about 90 centimeters, which serve to defend themselves when they feel threatened by their surroundings, these usually grow backwards. In Asian communities these bunches are often used to make containers for milk, hence the animal is endangered by constant hunting.
A great difference that they have with the other cattle is that it has short legs and large hooves, which are ideal to run smoothly in the icy hills of the Himalayas.
It is a very admired species because of the strength it shows to perform in harsh environments. Over the decades, this cattle has become a great ally for rural settlers in Asia such as Tibet.

THE "CIPRÉS" OF THE GUAITECAS

Its scientific name is Pilgerodendron uviferum (D. Don) Florin, belongs to the family of cupresáceas.
This tree is endemic to the South American temperate forests, meaning that it is only and exclusively belonging to that place, which gives a considerable value to this species. Its greater population is in the south of Chile and in the extreme southwest of Argentina. Living in Chile the regions of Los Ríos, Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes.
It is a slow-growing tree that can reach 20 meters in height, has a narrow and a trunk that can reach up to one meter in diameter, although the means are between 15 and 18 meters in height and a diameter between 30 and 50 centimeters. The heartwood is yellowish white and the sapwood is reddish.
The chosen this species to include in this post for a reason that brings back memories of me once I traveled along Chiloé, specifically the Tantauco Park, where the Guaitecas Cypress was observed a lot, and in part what motivated me to Study Forest Engineering.

WEBSITE RELATED TO MY CAREER

The website "Chileflora" is a site where it is
possible to learn about the native plants that exist in our country, both on the nutritional and medicinal properties as well as how to identify them and collect their seeds and seedlings. It is also a company that sells species of plants native to Chile, both seeds and seedlings.

There are a number of articles related to the Chilean flora, in addition to many photographs of Chilean nature, emphasizing the habitat where the plants are developed and their importance.

There are a number of data on flora, including descriptions, uses, tips on propagation and photos of many native Chilean plants (currently it presents more than 2202 species with almost 20353 photographs, but it is expected that in A future will have the information on almost the totality of the Chilean native flora).

The Chileflora project began in south-central Chile, near the city of Talca, which has been operating since 2005. Due to the good location, close to the southern moist forests and the dry deserts of the northern Altiplano, the company has Access to the best and most varied selection of plants and seeds of Chile

Reading in my life

In memory, from a very young age I have been very interested in reading, I think that since I have acquired the ability to decode these hieroglyphs called "alphabet", I have not stopped interpreting them in many different ways.
As far as I remember, for me libraries have been a paradise of entertainment and learning, since I consider myself a person eager for knowledge. Every time I finish a book and learn something new, I marvel at life and feel very fortunate.
I will mention some books that have marked or influenced me in forming the person I am now.

The little Prince
It's a book that I've reread a lot of times, and every time I re-read, I leave a new message.

A horse called freedom
It is a children's book about a girl who must dress as a man to be able to subsist in a macho era, where they suffered disadvantages to being a woman. Her name was Charlotte Parkhurst.

Nothing

A book that made me a break in my vision of life, delves into nihilistic themes, the lack of meaning.
