In December
2013, after we went on vacation at school, we did the study tour that we had
been waiting for so much in my course. With my classmates we went to Parque
Tantauco, a private park that is part of the Fundación Futuro and whose owner
is Sebastián Piñera, it is located in the south of the Isla Grande de Chiloé.
It is located in the "Chaiguata Site", a place that was defined as a
priority site for the conservation of biodiversity by CONAMA.
It is very
beautiful, has a huge amount of vegetation, from ancient cypresses and
evergreen forests to peat bogs dating from the last glaciation, there is also a
very diverse fauna that is everywhere, if you walk very quietly along the path
You can find the Chorote fox around and also a huge amount of birds like Chucao,
a very famous bird in the sector.
In the 4
days that we were in the place we walked a lot and we learned about the
importance of conserving unique places like this, we also kayaked in the lake
that was close to where we were staying.

It looks very ecological.Nice writing.
